Clare TD Claims No Vital Services Will Be Affected By HSE Funding Shortfall

Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD insists no vital services will be affected by Healthcare cutbacks in this years budget.

It follows a warning from HSE CEO Bernard Gloster, who’s said harm will almost certainly be caused to patients, unless the body exceeds its budget allocation of 22.5 billion euro, which is 900 million euro less than the amount received last year.

The health service announced last week it’s extending its recruitment freeze to non-consultant hospital doctors, agency staff and home helps to combat ongoing cost overruns.
