A Clare Independent TD is blasting plans approved by Government leaders on agricultural emissions, saying he believes they will lead to accelerated food shortages.
The agriculture sector will have to eliminate a quarter of its emissions output over the next eight years under measures to be signed off on by the Cabinet.

Farming groups are already warning the target will lead to economic and social consequences in rural areas.
Scariff-based Independent Deputy Michael McNamara, who’s from a farming background, claims those who’ve signed off on the decision are out of touch.
