Clare TD back in Labour parliamentary party

Clare TD Michael McNamara has been re-admitted to the Labour Parliamentary party.

The Scarriff-based TD lost the party whip in May after voting against the sale of the state's stake in Aer Lingus but he was informed this morning that he's been permitted to rejoin the party.

Deputy McNamara missed Labour's think-in earlier in the week, as he was on honeymoon -he recently married Sarah Hillery – whose father John ran against him for Fianna Fáil in 2011.

Deputy McNamara says he hopes to run for Clare in the upcoming general election.
