Clare TD Joe Carey has been admitted to hospital, and is currently ‘lying on a trolley.’
In a statement on social media, Deputy Carey says he was admitted on Saturday when he was struggling to breathe for 30 minutes.
A ‘battery of tests’ have been lined up for him, and he says this is ironic because he gave up smoking just under a month ago.
