The President of the Clare branch of SVP says this county’s seen a 40 percent increase in the number of calls to its service in the year to October.
The charity has launched its annual Christmas appeal this week, entitled “Impossible Choices”.

More than 191,000 requests for help have been received by the charity nationwide so far in 2022.
Clare SVP President Denis Carty says cost-of-living measures announced in the Budget are only going so far in helping people deal with inflation.
