The President of the Clare branch of St Vincent De Paul is welcoming proposed government intervention over energy prices.
The government is considering imposing a levy on state-owned energy companies that are recording above average profits.
It’s comes as Electric Ireland announced price cuts for businesses, but not households, following a drop in wholesale prices.
