The percentage of SUSI grants being awarded to Clare’s third level students is higher than the national average.
More than 8,600 grants have been given to students in this county by the Department of Higher Education in the past four years.

Almost four out of five of last year’s applications from this county were given some form of award, which is more than three percent above the national average figure.
However, the number of applications from local students to SUSI dropped slightly this year compared to the previous three years, a trend that’s been seen across the board nationally.
