Clare Students’ Rep Calls For Concrete Proposals To Be Set in Stone In Budget

A Clare students’ representative is urging the Government to ensure that concrete proposals aimed at alleviating financial pressure for college-goers are set in stone in the budget.

The Higher Education Minister Simon Harris has this week outlined potential plans to bring down the cost of going to college.

Student contribution charges could be cut by up to 1,000 euro, while the criteria for the SUSI grant could be widened.
