Clare Sports Group To Benefit From Capital & Equipment Programme

Almost half a million euro has been announced for the provision of sports equipment to clubs across County Clare.

29 clubs across the county will share a total of €490,831 from the nationwide allocation of €16.6 million under the Sport Capital and Equipment Programme.

A wide range of clubs across the Banner will benefit including GAA clubs, kayaking clubs, aerial creation, rugby, boxing, equestrianism, triathlon clubs and more.

Some of the 29 clubs to benefit include Ennis Rugby club which will receive €19,068 for portable floodlighting and the replacement of gym equipment at the grounds.

€21,710 has been allocated to Ennistymon & District Sports Amenity Partnership Company for multi-sport maintenance , fitness & play equipment.

Kilkee Golf Club Course will also be purchasing Maintenance Machinery after being granted €21,160 while Killaloe Sailing Club will be able to upgrade its safety facilities with the provision of €36,434.

Finally, two clubs in Sixmilebridge have been successful with the Camogie Club granted €46,062 while just over €42,000 is on the way to Sixmilebridge Kilmurry Community Games to support the provision of Equipment for Training and Competition Activities.
