The PRO of the Clare branch of the Social Democrats is confident the party can reach a new demographic under Holly Cairns’ leadership.
The West Cork TD has been elected successor to former co-leaders Róisín Shortall and Catherine Murphy, who announced their resignation last week.
Deputy Cairns will officially take up the role at noon today and will become the youngest current leader of any political party in the country.
