Clare has been snubbed as the latest batch of Garda recruits join the force.
145 probationary Gardaí passed out during a ceremony in Templemore last month, but none of those have been allocated to the Clare Garda Division.
The decision of Garda Commissioner has been confirmed by Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald, who has told the Dáil how Clare is among twelve Garda Divisions who have missed out on this occasion.
Chair of Clare's Joint Policing Committee, Councillor PJ Ryan says he's surprised that no Gardai have been allocated to the county.
