Clare Sinn Fein TD Says Government ‘Washing Its Hands’ On Social Housing Income Thresholds

Clare’s Sinn Fein TD is accusing the Government of ‘washing its hands’ of responsibility for income thresholds for social housing.

This county is currently in the third and lowest band of groupings, meaning no single person can earn more than €25,000 annually to be eligible for a social house.

Each additional adult is afforded just a five percent increase on that limit, with the Department of Housing insisting a review into the thresholds are currently ongoing.
