Clare Sinn Féin is campaigning against a cut in welfare supports for single parents that is set to affect 30,000 families throughout the country.
Protests have already been held outside the Dáil in a bid to get the government to reverse plans to phase out the one-parent family payment for children aged over seven from next month.
There are over 4,600 single parent familes here in Clare alone.
Clare Sinn Fein have now launched a postcard campaign against this and the party's candidate in the forthcoming general election Noeleen Moran says many of them can't afford this cut.
