Clare Set For Near 30 Degree Temperatures As Yellow Warning Begins

Clare is set for temperatures near the 30 degree mark between now and the weekend.

A yellow alert is now in place in the county for high temperatures and the advisory will remain in place until Sunday.

Night time temperatures are unlikely to fall below 16 degrees – the public is being encouraged to check on vulnerable neighbours to ensure they’re coping well with the heat.

Additionally, the Department of Agriculture has issued an orange forest fire warning until next Tuesday as temperatures in the banner rise above 27 degrees.

Acting Chief Fire Officer Denis O’Connell is pleading with farmers and landowners not to conduct controlled burning at this time.
