A Clare Senator is urging people who can’t pay their debts to enage with the new Personal Insolvency service, describing it as a positive way out.
The government launched Insolvency Service Ireland this week and Shannon representative Tony Mulcahy says it offers a solution for many people in Clare who feel crippled under the weight of debts acquired during the boom.
ISI is to begin ccepting applications for new debt solutions from June, but in the meantime, those in difficulties can find out about the various options for personal insolvency on www.isi.gov.ie
Senator Mulcahy hopes the new service will help people out of their debts, and says the government will act to ensure banks play their part in the process.
