Clare senator suggests payslips become electronic

A Clare Oireachtas member claims the government could save millions of euro by replacing paper payslips for public servents with electronic ones

An Garda Siochána have already taken the step, and will issue only electronic payslips from December and Clare county council have been also  issuing electronic payslips to its staff for the past 12 months.

This will save the exchequer 400 thousand euro a year

Senator Martin Conway is calling for this value-for-money measure to be implemented throughout the public sector
