Clare’s Fianna Fáil Senator believes opportunities exist for Irish companies seeking to trade with Ukraine, as the war torn country looks to rebuild.
Senator Timmy Dooley, who’s Co-President of the ALDE Party travelled to Kiev yesterday, where he and Ireland South MEP Billy Kelleher met with President Zelensky and other Government Ministers.
The Tulla-based Senator says while significant concern remains about the Russian agression on the Eastern front, life is starting to get back to a level of normality in Kiev and surrounding cities.
Senator Dooley has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that there’s now a desire to get foreign companies to assist with rebuilding and he believes Ireland can play a mutually beneficial role.
