Clare Senator Confident MidWest Hospital Bed Boost Will Meet Patient Demand

Confidence is being expressed that a new allocation of hospital beds announced for the MidWest will be enough to meet future patient demand.

Under new government plans, 156 new beds will be delivered in the region by 2028, including 48 new beds at Ennis General and 84 at University Hospital Limerick.

Mountshannon Fianna Fáil Senator Timmy Dooley though believes the new beds will make a substantial difference here.
