A Clare Senator has called for a total ban on the sale of Cigarettes in Ireland.
Fine Gael’s Martin Conway was sepaking in the Seanad about the introduction of plain packaging for cigarettes, which is aimed at making smoking less attractive to young people in a bid to lower levels of lung disease and other smoke related health problems.
Welcoming the new packaging plans, the Ennistymon Senator said anti-smoking legislation should go much further.
