Clare Senator Adamant Those On High Salaries As Deserving Of Energy Supports As Anyone Else

A Clare senator has argued that those on high salaries are as deserving of energy supports as anyone else because they may face greater costs.

A once-off additional fuel allowance payment of €300 is due to be paid on the 20th of this month, while electricity credits of €450 will be applied across the board at the start of December this year and the end of March of next year.

Meanwhile, Electric Ireland, SSE Airtricity and PrePay Power have slashed their gas and electricity prices by between 10% and 13.5% this week, with Bord Gais and Flogas expected to follow suit on Monday.
