July saw the highest monthly number of property commencements in Clare so far this year.
New figures from the Department of Housing show home commencements almost tripled from the figure seen in June.
A commencement notice is issued to Clare County Council when a person or business intends to carry out works on a property.
35 such notices were lodged with the local authority in July, up from the 12 seen in June.
The figure also eclipses the previous highest monthly total so far this year, up 7 from the 28 seen in May.
Of the plans filed with the council, 19 were for one off homes and the remaining 16 were for apartments.
This means that none of the properties registered for commencement in July were done so under the first home scheme.
The county recorded more than double the notices in comparison to July 2024, while in Munster, only Cork and Limerick saw more commencements filed last month.
