Clare has the second-highest number of empty business units in Munster.
The latest report from GeoDirectory show that Clare’s rate of almost 15% – an annual increase of around half a percent – is well ahead of the national vacancy rate of 13.2%.

Kilrush, meanwhile, is the second-worst town nationally in terms of empty commercial units – that’s up by around 2% to 26.6% with only Ballybofey in Donegal worse off.
