130 Clare schools are to receive nearly half a million euro in funding to expand their literacy resources.
It’s part of the Government’s Free Education Scheme, with the Department of Education providing 20 million euro to schools nationwide.

112 of this county’s primary schools are to receive a portion of the funding, along with 18 of Clare’s secondary schools.
A guidance note is to be issued to all schools within the scheme detailing how they can make the most efficient use of their funding.
