The Clare branch of Samaritans is urging people not to give up on making connections on this World Mental Health Day.
The international event aims to raise awareness around depression and mental health and mobilise support services.

A number of mental health charities such as Samaritans, Pieta House and West Clare Mental Health Association are active in this county, while a new dual diagnosis facility is shortly due to come on stream at Inis Ghile.
Director of Clare Samaritans Pat White says though that anyone can help by making conversation around someone’s interest.
