The Clare branch of the Samaritans is calling on local people to get involved with the organisation to help those going through a hard time.
People from all walks of life can sign up to help man their 24-hour helpline or to provide email, SMS or face-to-face support too.
The next two days will see information evenings held from 7.30pm at the Samaritan Centre on the Kilrush Road in Ennis for anyone who may be interested.
Daire O’Críodáin from the local branch says it’s an extremely busy service – and it can be hard to gauge the significance of their impact.
