Clare Samaritans Only Reaching 75% Of Calls Due To Volunteer Shortage

The Director of Clare Samaritans says they’re currently only managing to answer 75% of the calls they receive.

The Clare and Ennis branch of the charity are urgently appealing for volunteers to respond to the surge in people reaching out.

The local service say the cost of living crisis is now beginning to take its toll on the mental health of people in Clare.

 

Newmarket-on-Fergus native and Director of Clare Samaritans, Margaret McMahon says she won’t rest until they’re in a position to answer all of the calls for help that they receive.
