A rural housing charity founded in Clare 27 years ago will cease operations in the coming weeks due to a lack of government funding.
Rural Resettlement Ireland has rehoused over eight hundred families in locations along the West coast of the country, with 241 families in Clare.

The charity had hoped for a financial windfall from the recently announced €60 million Government plan for rural Ireland, but no funding is said to be available.
Kilbaha based founder of the charity, Jim Connolly told Clare FM about the recent developments.
