Clare could be chosen to pilot a major US initiative to tackle domestic violence.
The Blueprint for Safety programme, which was developed in St Paul, Minnesota, is a set of plans that allows agencies such as Gardaí, prosecution services and probation services to collaborate to keep victims safe.
A delegation from the US will present to Tusla and representatives of the Irish justice system in Clare today, with a view to adopting it here.
