Clare could be chosen to pilot a major US initiative to tackle domestic violence.
The Blueprint for Safety programme, which was developed in St Paul, Minnesota, is a set of plans that allows agencies such as Gardaí, prosecution services and probation services to collaborate to keep victims safe.
