Over 30 people were rescued by Clare’s RNLI Lifeboats in 2011.
New statistics released by the group show that in 24 launches last year, the crew based at Lough Derg rescued a total 34 people – seperately, the Kilrush based lifeboat was called out for five launches.
Nationally, the organisation received almost 1000 calls – and rescued 905 people.
July and August were it’s busiest months.
