A Clare Retained Firefighter claims their vital community service is at risk, due to a severe recruitment & rentention crisis in the sector.
On-call first responders across the country will begin industrial action next Tuesday, in a bid to secure favourable pay and holiday entitlements.

They’re on-call 24 hours a day, 340 days a year and are only garaunteed a minimum annual salary of €8,000.
