A Clare restaurateur fears delaying the introduction of a lower VAT rate for the hospitality sector would be too little too late for some businesses.

The Government is contemplating pushing out the proposed reinstatement of the 9% VAT rate to June 2026 to create more scope for tax cuts in the Budget.
