Clare’s INTO representative is warning so-called ‘super sized’ classes are ‘failing’ primary school pupils.
A Clare FM analysis into the Department of Education’s latest statistical bulletin shows 23 primary schools across Clare have at least one class with more than 30 students in them.

Schools in the Ennis and Shannon areas have registered some class sizes with as many as 35 pupils in them.
Speaking with Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville, this county’s INTO representative Brendan Horan says class sizes as a whole here are well above the European average.
