While rents are rising across the country, the average amount paid by tenants in Clare has fallen in the last year.

The latest rental report from property website Daft.ie shows that year on year, average rent for Irish properties has gone up 4.8% in the third quarter of 2013.
The main increases are seen in cities – in Dublin, they’re up 7.6% on this time last year – but in Clare there has been a 1% fall recorded by the property website, with the average rent here now standing at €543.
