A Clare Soccer Coach and Referee claims a lack of parental and schooling education is driving hate crimes in Ireland.
New figures from An Garda Síochána show that reported hate crimes and hate-related incidents increased by 15% in 2025, with 780 incidents recorded nationwide.

According to Gardaí, race was a factor in 40% of incidents, with nationality cited in a further 25%.
Ennis resident Museliu Bashua says he’s experienced abuse himself in the town and believes that people should only be judged on their own actions.
