Clare Red Cross Warning Public To Be Cautious After Scammers Hack Member’s Phone And Seek Donations

The Clare branch of the Irish Red cross is urging the public to be cautious after a member’s phone was hacked by scammers who proceeded to ‘seek donations’ from his contacts.

Over the weekend, a service user was contacted by a man purporting to be a driver with the local branch of the Red Cross and was asked for a donation to fund the community transport service.
