Clare Recreational Tourism Projects To Receive €56,000 Funding

Recreational tourism projects in Clare are to benefit from €56,000 of funding this year.

The grants have been allocated under the government’s Action Plan for Rural Development and half of those go to projects in the west of the county.

They include the Vandeleur Walled Gardens in Kilrush, Cappa Amenity and Walkway and Kilrush Wood Riverwalk

Money has also been allocated to the East Clare Way, Mid Clare Way and for a new Training System at Active Ennis John O Sullivan Park.

It’s part of a national investment of 11 million euro by government.

Clare projects in receipt of funding:

–        East Clare Way (€7,973)

–        Vandeleur Walled Gardens, Kilrush (€10,000)

–        Cappa Amenity/Walkway (€10,000)

–        Kilrush Wood River Walk (€10,000)

–        Fartlek Training System at Active Ennis John O Sullivan Park (€10,000)

–        The Mid Clare Way/SLÍ NA MÉARACÁN (€7,944)
