There has been an increase of 70% in the number of new homes completed in Clare within the last 12 months.
New figures released by the Central Statistics Office for the quarter three of 2024 also show Killaloe as the LEA with the most completions.
Construction on 165 homes in Clare were completed between July and September, up 70% from the 97 completions seen in quarter three of 2023.
Of the completed projects in this time frame, 54 were single houses, 106 were scheme houses, while there was five apartments also completed.
Killaloe was the Local Electoral Area that saw the greatest number of completions, with 73, 44% of the total completed.
This was almost double the amount seen in the closest LEA, where Shannon saw construction on 38 dwellings finished.
Ennis and Kilrush both recorded similar numbers of completions in the third quarter of this year, tallying 23 and 17 respectively.
Ennistymon meanwhile, recorded 14 dwelling completions, the lowest amount of any LEA between July and September of this year.
There were 8,939 dwelling completions recorded across Ireland in quarter three of 2024, which represents an increase of 6% from last years figure of 8,411.
