A planned revaluation of the rates bills paid by businesses in Clare has been deferred.
A long-running process by The Valuation Office, which would have altered the level of commercial rates charged to businesses in Clare from next year, has been postponed by a year.
The decision has been taken by Minister for Local Government Darragh O’Brien, as a result of the COVID pandemic, and the changes will now take effect from 2023.
The changes are designed to bring a more uniform relationship between uptodate rental values of a property, and the commercial rates liability.
