Clare Pyrite Action Group Claims Affected Homeowners Have Lost Faith In Politicians

The Clare Pyrite Action Group has told an oireachtas committee that affected homeowners have lost faith in politicians to take necessary action.

New figures have revealed that none of the over 1,000 people in this county living in homes built with pyrite blocks had received funds under the Enhanced Defective Block Grant Scheme up to last January.

It follows the release of a draft report by the European Parliament’s Petitions Committee which states the scheme is in need of improvement.
