The Clare Pyrite Action Group is describing the government’s delay in opening a compensation scheme for affected homeowners in the county as ‘indefensible’.
It follows a meeting attended by local Oireachtas members & Councillors in Ennis over the weekend surrounding the progression of the ‘Enhanced Grant Scheme for Defective Concrete Blocks’.
Its understood complications introducing the redress programme in Donegal are hindering the timeline for Ministerial sign off in Clare, Limerick & Mayo.
However Crusheen woman & Clare Pyrite Action Group Chair, Dr.Martina Cleary says while the state continue to break promises, households are living in terror.
