The Lord Mayor of Manchester has thanked the people of Clare for their sympathies in the aftermath of the terror attack which struck the city.
23 people were killed and 250 others were injured in May when a suicide bomber detonated a homemade bomb as people were leaving a concert at Manchester Arena.
In the aftermath of the incident, Clare County Council opened a Book of Condolences, which was signed by around 800 people and this has since been sent to authorities in Manchester.
The City’s Mayor Eddy Newman has written a letter of thanks to the Council, saying it helped to know that Manchester was in the thoughts of people here, and to express confidence that the city will recover from the terrible tragedy.
