More than quarter of a million euro has been granted for CLÁR projects in Clare.
The programme, which supports sustainable development had been effectively closed for new applications since 2009, but was reopened by Minister Michael Ring in October.
284,000 euro in Government funding has now been allocated towards 27 projects across the county to help fund small infrastructural projects in areas that have experienced significant depopulation.
The funding focusses on issues such as safety at schools and community centres and the development of amenities for young people in rural areas.
