An Ennisman who was ordained as a Catholic Priest and later came out as gay, has married his long-term partner.
Fr. Bernárd Lynch married Billy Desmond in Spanish Point yesterday, nearly two years after he had campaigned in favour of the 2015 same-sex marriage referengum.
Fr Lynch, who grew up in Ennis in the 1950s, has been in a civil partnership with Mr. Desmond for the past decade, when he became the first Catholic priest in the world to enter into a civil partnership.
