A Clare politics professor says hope of any breakthrough in peace talks between Ukraine and Russia are fading.
The first peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in three years are reported to have ended, after just over an hour. Russian and Ukrainian negotiators met briefly in Istanbul.

Earlier, Kyiv accused Russia of undermining talks, with a last minute demand for one-on-one talks with Ukraine, without the presence of the Americans.
