Clare People Urged To Play Part At Blood Donation Clinics

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is issuing an urgent call for people in Clare to participate in donation clinics on the outskirts of Ennis.

The service needs to collect an extra 400 donations per week for the month of June, as it currently has provisions for just 3 days of blood supply, which is well below it’s intended stockpile of seven days.

IBTS last month issued a Pre-Amber Alert, meaning hospitals are being encouraged to conserve blood supplies amidst an immediate national shortage.
