Clare people are being urged to attend an event that will offer vital information on home energy retrofit grants.

Currently, just 11% of homes in this county have a B2 Building Energy Rating, while the Government has set a target for 400,000 homes to reach this standard by 2040.

The local authority will officially launch its Climate Action Plan at the West County Hotel in Ennis on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m., and the event will be held in conjunction with the Eirgrid Energy Citizens Roadshow.
