The people of Clare are being encouraged to make their views known on the Draft County Development Plan, which is opening for public consultation from today.
The document will run from 2023 to 2029, and will outline how the local authority can use particular areas and lands, such as for residential or industrial use.
Nine public consultation events on the draft plan are to take place between today and the 10th of February, with this evening’s opener being held in the Lisdoonvarna Pavillion between 4pm and 8pm.
Senior Planner with Clare County Council, Helen Quinn, says the involvement of schools around the county has been a pleasing aspect of the progression of the plan.
