Clare parents are being warned to be aware of the dangers of cyber-bullying, as their children return to school this week.

As new first year students in particular open up their social circle in secondary school, they may also be connecting with new people online, on social networking sites such as facebook and Twitter.
Cyber bullying has become a very topical issue in recent months with teenage suicides in Ireland being attributed to online abuse.
Former TUI President and Shannon teacher Bernie Ruane is calling on parents to be aware, and is urging affected students to seek help.
