The President of the Association of Nigerian Community in Clare is calling on the Government to put protections in place for immigrants living here.
It follows a report which reveal widespread racism against people of african decent by Irish Women, men, children and even public institutions.
The European Network Against Racism in Ireland looked at 225 incidents reported over two years and found that even children are spitting and throwing things at people with the support of their parents.
Abiodun Ladigbolu said he was shocked at the level of abuse received by people in his community and he says more needs to be done to educate those instigating the problem
